Since get our Tesla Mode 3 in September I have learn a lot about owning, driving, charging and enjoying an EV car
To help share my experience as an electrical engineer I have listed below some ideas and advise. I have also created some simple YouTube videos to show the concepts/suggestions

  1. Charging
  1. Installing the Circuit

There are many options and best call us and we can share our experience with you to get you started in the right direction

  1. Utility Metering Options

Depending on you driving and home energy use, I may make sense to have PG&E install a time of use meter (TOU)https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/solar-and-vehicles/options/clean-vehicles/electric/electric.page?WT.mc_id=Vanity_electricvehicles
Best to call PG&E Solar team who deal with the EV rates, one you get though they are very helpful

You can then use the setting on your car to charge overnight at the lowest rate
